The best way to learn is to find places for each number along with this example.  See if you can find where numbers 1 through 9 go. 
There will be a picture of each step 1 thru 9 and then going back through 1-9 again. 
Print this page and then click the bottom to follow  along with each number. 
Put all the number 1s in and then check the next picture to see if you found all the places. 
Then as it gets more complex, I put each pass of numbers in different colors so you can see which ones you should have found.
