It is amazing how common plants we eat are very poisonous and can cause death.  The leaves and stems of the potato, tomato, and rhubarb plants are very deadly.  Consider any plant poisonous.  Some house plants that are not supposed to be poisonous are African violet, Fushias, Roses, Ficus and Spider plants.
